My New Morning Superfood Smoothie Breakfast Experiment
Morning Superfood Smoothie Breakfast Experiment
I have had many variants of healthy superfood breakfasts in the morning, and after reading about food synergy with Kale and Lentils – I am thinking of trying out a new superfood breakfast smoothie variation.
I consider myself passively into consuming and living healthy lifestyle and superfoods. There was a point I was super obsessed with trying to be healthy and it has tapered down to being healthy – But the healthy practices I have picked have stayed with me as a habit and I am quite happy about that.
My breakfast has always been pretty solid with 1 to 1.5 cups of blueberries or mixed-berries being my base with addition of Kale for greens. I try to spice up my adding some ginger to it.
My Standard Superfood Breakfast (Smoothie)
- 1-1/2 Cups of Blueberries or Mixed-Berries
- Kale (or 4 Leaves)
- Ashwagandha Powder (1 teaspoon)
- 1 Tablespoon Amla/Triphala
- Cacao Powder – 1 tablespoon
- 15-18 grams of Spirulina
- 1/4 Cup of Walnuts
In addition to the smoothie, I also consume around 25 grams of chicken liver, 1 egg, Vitamin D pill, and Beta Alanine.
My New Superfood Breakfast Experiment (Smoothie)
- A Cup of Kale (or 4 Leaves)
- 1/4 Cup of Lentils or Beans
- A sprinkle of Blueberries or Strawberries for Taste
- Spirulina (1 or 2 TBSP)
- 1/4 Cup of Walnuts
- Herbal & Spices
- Cumin or Coriander (1 TBSP)
- Amla or Triphala (1 TBSP)
- Cacao Powder (1 TBSP)
- Ashwagandha (1 tsp)
- Tomato Juice as an alternative for water
- Supplements (this is existing practice)
- Vitamin D & Beta-Alanine (stimulate stem cells. Even though I have removed Blueberries, I still have 1 tablespoon of Amla)
Changes to My Superfood Smoothie
The newest additions are adding lentils, tomato juice, cumin/coriander (mostly for taste). I am also significantly removing blueberries from it and will eat them separately. The reason being that my breakfast is already too heavy, and it will become even more heavy of a breakfast if I add a cup to 1/2 cups of blueberries.
